3.5 stars rounded up- would recommend for an easy and quite exciting read.
I love the morbid podcast as well as Ash and Alaina so I was so excited to read this. For a first novel I think it was a solid book but I feel it could have benefitted with maybe 50 more pages through out the story to flesh out the plot and fill in a few plot gaps.
The twist was interesting but again I felt like it was a huge leap to get to, with some explanation missing- it just felt a bit random.
I like how the ending is ambiguous and I’d be sure to read the sequel if that ever came out!

You can tell this is a new author as it reads like creative writing in college to me. Pretty good twists. I don't find myself racing to read another one.

If I had known it was a cliffhanger ending I wouldn't have started it until there's a second one. Very upsetting because I enjoyed the book a lot and was hoping for a great ending.
