If I hadn’t of been so busy this month I think i would have devoured this book in a couple of days.

Laura is a very well written unhinged protagonist and villain, who you will despise through out but can’t get enough of! This book had me internally screaming out of frustration and anger - it really toys with your emotions and feelings towards characters.

A deliciously dark and twisted thriller! I just wish certain aspects, specifically ones regarding Laura’s mindset (I don’t want to give spoilers) were explored further, so the reader could understand her further - as some parts left me wanting more!

A very well written game of cat and mouse. But check TW!!

Damn. Whiplash twists with every page turn! Who hurt you, John Marrs? This was a brilliantly terrifying and fucked up read. Thank you for that!

It's a little try hard for me. Could've been much better and much more invested had it been more compact and doesn't aim for ambitious web of plot twist and intertwined, grim fates between all the characters. Like honestly? At some point you just think ugh there's no way out of so many lives and people on a city, they all had to be related to each other's disaster somehow?? It lose its initial strong grip the point it started to be way too unrealistic.

The first half of the book was really great, the pacing and the chapters cut was excellent, I churn up like 200 pages in one sitting and it went downhill fast. It reveala plot twist and another and many more others so quick, without a break, like cars keep crashing & bumping without a stop that you just..... kinda don't care anymore? It lost the shock effect for me at that point, the mind-blowing awe was gone when it gets too overwhelming. You can only do so much with sinister twists.

Still, enjoyable read tho. I like the way the chapters are divided. It's a fast read so if you're not enjoying the last bits, it flies relatively fast. Still, curious to see his other books and if it'll work better for me as this was so promising!

Dark and twisted, all the main characters are completely hateful. Really good thriller showing how awful events can lead to people doing awful things.
