Beginning is awful and the ending felt like such a let down for this one

Patterson! I'm usually so excited to flick threw the pages of Lindsay and Claire (yes, the other girls too but...) and I've never felt such an utter disconnect between the women of this series. The plot seemed to segregate the investigation and the issues of each woman's personal life in a way that left me disappointed. I couldn't feel the emotions that he usual has his readers feel from excitement, love, panic, friendship, and solving a crime. Hope the next one is better.

Richie got what he deserved with Morales. I wish there were more on the murder on the football player's girlfriend. Overall, I enjoyed it and was so happy for baby Julie.

Throwing more storylines at a book doesn't make it more exciting. It makes it overwhelming, hard to follow and it doesn't allow you to write a *good* storyline. It gets one star because I managed to finish it.

I've not cared for this series much the past few books but this one was so horribly bad I just had to give up. 70% of the way through and I couldn't take anymore. The story line is all over the place. Lindsay is obnoxious and the baby weight comments are annoying along with the extreme gushing of maternal love. It's all so unbelievable and the series just keeps getting worse.

One of the most compelling books in this entire series. Couldn't put it down.
