This was a great start to the spooky season! I loved how all loose ends were tied up. It gave Silence of the Lamb culty vibes.
I almost DNF'd this one, and I probably should have. The characters were insufferable. There were too many characters, some with multiple names that were hard to keep track of. The book would also build up a lot of momentum at the end of the chapter and then start the next one with long monologs, which would kill all the suspense. There was also way too much going on, without anything being properly explained. Could have been good. 2/5
