An entertaining ride but there were multiple plot holes, no resolution for multiple plot lines, and the worst part was the supernaturalification of DiD which irritated the shit out of me. Of course all the antagonists were able to mentally connect and see what the others were doing bc one person had DiD. It didn’t make sense.

Tess is the detective in charge of the copycat serial killer, the Outcast. When the Outcast kidnaps her daughter, Tess travels back to Twisted Tree, the location of the original serial killer, to try to solve the case.

I feel like this would make a good movie or limited series, but as a book it struggled to hold my attention at times. There were a lot of plot points to piece together and I sometimes felt like I needed a large whiteboard and a roll of red yarn to keep things straight. Even though I was able to piece it together and understand why certain characters did certain things, I unfortunately got to the point where I just didn't care anymore. Again, I wouldn't hesitate to watch an adaptation of this.
