I’ve always heard great things about this author, and my first book by J.H. Markert absolutely exceeded my expectations. This book has earned a spot in my top 10 for the year, without a doubt. I genuinely loved every single aspect of this book, from the writing style to the character development. The author did an exceptional job of tackling multiple heavy topics throughout the book. The chapters are incredibly short, making it a quick and easy read, and the different perspectives were woven together seamlessly. I found myself invested in all of the characters, each one uniquely crafted and relatable. I could see this book turning into a movie

If I could give this book zero stars I would. Lazy writing, crutch after crutch used for our main character. I only finished it to add to the pile of books done.

Had a few moments of creepiness and good plot twists., but also had a few odd moments…ones where I wasn’t sure where it was going. Overall, a decent read.

My heart was racing for most of this book! Really well done in my opinion! Had a lot of intense chapters. Some slight paranormal aspects and twists I didn’t see coming until it was too late.
