I’m a sucker for friends to lovers, especially in a contemporary romance/rom-com and I liked that (despite their one-night stand at the beginning) their relationship really bloomed from their friendship with one another.

Taylor Swift songs: “Glitch”!!!
(Bonus: there is a Taylor Swift reference! Im not surprised, we already know Lynn Painter is a huge Swiftie)
One night stand-to-best friend-to-lovers!! I haven’t read an adult romance by Lynn Painter before (only her YA books) but I really enjoyed this one! I liked the premise of the dating bet to see who could find love first! This was a really quick and fun Romcom with really adorable/lovable characters! Both of them are so witty and sarcastic, with my kind of dry humor. Their banter was top notch! They also had TONS of chemistry!!!🔥 Jack and Hallie are definitely endgame. Overall, I think this was a really solid Romcom, and I will be reading the other books in this series/universe.
It was dual POV, and I HIGHLY recommend listening to the audiobook, the narrators voices were amazing! (The guy’s voice was so attractive!) Especially with the how many text conversations there were in it, and you heard both narrators reading the texts to each other!
Age rating: 15+ (language, a few brief spicy scenes, but like Emily Henry, it’s vague so it’s not super graphic/descriptive, 1/5🌶️, but their chemistry is off the charts!!)
