I read the first few issues after MCM London Comic Con so I was really excited to get all 8 issues in one volume through the kickstarter. I love it. The characters are interesting and the mythology of the world is something I would happily dive into. I appreciate that the story doesn't get bogged down by tons of world building, giving a good balance between story and providing the context so we understand what's happening. The background colours of the panels change throughout the story and I thought it was clever to use them to separate out the different perspectives and story threads.
I hope I get to read more when it happens!

This book was so charming! The characters, setting and art styles were so lovely and homey. I did find that I struggled to follow what was going on at times but that may just be my lack of fantasy/dnd knowledge, but I will definitely be picking it up again (and any future sequels)!

A fun story, filled with a lot of exciting reveals and an engaging plot and characters. The medium was used in clever ways to tell the story, with different colours showing scene changes, or different art styles indicating history. The books opens up on this, introducing the world and the main character in an enjoyable way that teaches you what you need to know.

I loved the variety of character designs. Each person felt unique and distinct to reach other, and I enjoyed how much personality they contained. I think the relationships between different characters felt natural and I enjoyed the conflicts between them as well.

I enjoyed the overarching plot of the story! It built on top of what we'd already learnt well, and each reveal felt like it was a natural next step rather than feeling out of place or sudden. I did find the plot a little difficult to follow towards the end, and I will probably need to reread it in the future to get a full understanding of what happened. But overall, a very enjoyable read and a well developed universe.

Wonderful book, well worth a read. I'm not usually a big fantasy reader, but this was so good. I like the story, characters and illustration.
