Despite my complaints, this series is addictive - I couldn't not finish it. What IF something happens with Ranger/Morelli? (Hint: we're finally getting somewhere with this novel!)

Ok, so there ends my run of Stephanie Plum; I wish I had the next book, but that'll have to wait until I've read more of my tbr pile, and for the price to drop.

I've enjoyed all the Stephanie Plum books immensely, so far. Yes, they're pure fluff, but they're funny and entertaining. They aren't perfect, but then what is?

It is with regret that I now turn to a different series (but also, y'know, anticipation!).

As always, fun to read and made me giggle in places. :)

How can you not enjoy a book with an old man who thinks he's a vampire, a trained circus bear as bail collateral, the eye and vordo curses....if only we knew who Stephanie would choose between Morelli and Ranger...

Just a fun book--after 16 previous books you sort of know what's going to happen but they still make me laugh!

Well. Holy cow. I was thinking Plum Spooky was the beginning of the end, but Janet Evanovich continues to surprise me. This was another solid book. Not quite as good as the last one but pretty close. Boy, Stephanie sure got laid a lot in this book. A lot. She had three men confusing her instead of just two, had a surprising amount of Ranger sex, and was almost potentially sexually assaulted sort of. Did she pick one and stick with him? No.

I like the unusual level of continuation between this book and the previous, and the new situation for the bonds office is pretty entertaining. Lula thought she was going to turn into a vampire in this book and she broke up a cockfight.

The one thing about this book that wasn't impressive was that I guessed who the killer was as soon as that character was introduced. Like, in chapter two. And it isn't revealed until chapter 38. Also, the ending was a little contrived and convenient, but ultimately I didn't care because I was just glad it worked out somehow.

Really the worst in the series so far. They are my yearly guilty pleasure/fun read, so I was really disappointed.

Kind of a mixed bag here. Some of the humor common to to the series was present but the plot and action is getting very predictable.
