Abandon trilogy is good but it is such a disappointment when comparing with other Meg Cabot books.

My rating would be 3.5, but I'll round to a 4.

This book is okay. More fluff than the first book though. The plot is typical of teen supernatural romance novels, oh well. But I love how we get to see more of Pierce and John! :)

I waffled between 2 and 3 stars so I'd like to give this one 2.5. I really enjoyed the first installment in this series. But this one was so overdramatic and not much action. I probably won't read anymore in this series

I love Meg Cabot but now that I have gotten older and more cynical I really can't enjoy some of her books as much. Both Abandon and Underworld I had a hard time getting through just because of the intensity of the main characters relationships. I totally understand that teenagers are intense about things but I find their relationship ridiculous to the point where I don't like either one of them. Also, as a Sociology major I just have a really hard time with things like nonconsensual kissing and the like. I don't care how much you love someone or they love you if they say no that means NO and I just can't get past that. Let me reiterate though I love Meg Cabot and I know she is a fantastic feminist I just don't like this aspect of this series and it ruins it for me. On the other hand I do like the mythology of the series.

I enjoy the Greek mythology that this series is based on, but there are times when Cabot's writing seems to chase rabbit trails that make it difficult to follow the story.

More like 3.5* This book started a little slow, but it was very entertaining and fast paced once it got started. The thing that stopped it from being a 4* is that it just ends. It's not even a full fledged cliff hanger because it almost stops in the middle of a sentence. However, it does have me excited about the final book.

Typical Cabot, YA romance with supernatural accents. Typical 2nd book, not much happened.

So. Much. Whining. Almost couldn't finish it. Won't be reading the next book. I'd like this better if it were one book, there hasn't been enough action to justify two so far.
