This book is written so well it feels like I watched it as a movie- the characters and setting are vivid. And of course- it is Towles after all!
But for some reason, it just didn’t hit home for me. It felt slow until page 400, and it was very difficult to keep track of all the narrators. I just wanted to hear from Emmett and no one else haha.

Incredibly well-written! Each character had a distinctive voice and the rhythm of the novel was fantastic. Would have been a five-star read had I not had to read

an account of someone committing suicide from their own perspective.

So maybe check content warnings!
