Her writing is just so delightful - filled with snark, word play, and laughs galore. I liked this even more than the first book because the narrative felt much more straightforward and clear, and the romance really shone through this book as well. One might even call this a more literal bodice ripper (lolol)! Kudos to Holton for writing so uniquely and hilariously in this series!

The League of Gentlewomen Witches was such an enjoyable and lighthearted read and way to spend my time. This book delivered exactly what I was expecting it would. I really appreciated the references to all of the Jane Austen novels throughout the story and the romance banter between the protagonists was fun. The one thing I didn’t necessarily love, which I hesitate to even say, is that I felt that there was maybe too much kissing? (That’s a first for me haha.) I just felt like all of the issues between Charlotte and Alex were solved with a kiss and just not really worked through, but I mean it makes sense because it is a fantasy romance novel. Overall, this was a good read and I would recommend it.

This took me far too long to read and I couldn’t even finish it. I almost felt obligated to keep reading cause it is a sweet story and very uniquely written! Just it for me.
