India Holton just has such a fun way with words. Absolutely loved all the literary references. The MCs didn't grab me the same way Cecelia and Ned did in Book 1 and I was missing a side character like Cecelia's aunt. But still a really enjoyable read!

a little too Jane Austen reference heavy/insta-love for me but in a world where a lot of books tend to blend together Holton’s writing shines
I didn't like the first book in the series, but I thought I'd give the 2nd one a shot since I had bought a physical copy (I hadn't realized it was part of a series at the time). Unfortunately, I think I will have the same issues with it as I did with the first book, so I'm gonna DNF and donate my copy.

As absolutely delightful as the first book. What a fun story and fun characters. And it is told in such a whimsical and manic way. I loved every second.
Not so much enemies-to-lovers as it is enemies-to-reluctant allies-to-lovers that still insist they are enemies. 5 stars.

Was this a bit insta-lovey? sure. Did I eat it up? Yes, of course I did. My only complaint is that this book could have definitely been like 50 pages shorter that ending did not really add much to the story.
