I was so excited for this book and while I did like it, I'm also disappointed.
How to Find a Princess has major pacing issues. The beginning already felt a little slow, but the middle really dragged, only for the ending to be super rushed and with a twist that seemed to come out of nowhere and really needed more exploration.
And most importantly for me, I wanted more form the romance. I'm all for a slow burn, but this didn't work for me. It almost felt like Alyssa Cole wasn't all that interested in writing about their romance? Like she was more into the others stuff that was happening. And as much as I’m hoping that the fact that it’s sapphic isn’t the reason for this, the romance very much lacks a certain energy that her m/f couples do have. Which I think was my biggest disappointment because as much as I do enjoy m/f romance books, f/f has my preference.
