I give this book a 4.5⭐️. The storyline and the back and forth that Kristen goes through drives me insane. I personally feel like it didn’t need to be so complicated. However, I did enjoy this read! I recently binged watched 9-1-1, and Josh reminds me of Buck! I predicted the ending about halfway through the book, so the ending was kind of disappointing.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez was everything I look for in a contemporary romance—funny, heartfelt, and surprisingly emotional. Kristen and Josh’s story pulled me in right away with its witty banter and undeniable chemistry, but what really stood out was the depth behind the humor. Abby Jimenez tackles real-life challenges with honesty and compassion, making the characters feel authentic and relatable.

I laughed, I cried (ugly cried actually-twice), and I didn’t want to put it down. This book beautifully balances lighthearted romance with serious themes, and it left me thinking about the characters long after I finished. An absolute must-read for fans of smart, emotional love stories.

Overall, I enjoyed the book. The character Kristen got annoying in the knows what is best for everyone type of way. I felt it was a bit dragged out in the middle yet rushed at the end. I would give the author another shot!
