Wow! I didn't know this writing duo had it in them. This was a super spicy, workplace romance and I loved it.

- Workplace
- Boss/ employee
- Age gap
- Grumpy x sunshine

A spicy workplace romance ala TL Swan or Fiona Cole. Spice, and then some more spice, and then even more spice. And I am not mad at it! The plot wasn't deep and a bit expected but sometimes that is perfect for the moment.

The only reason I didn't give it a full 4 stars is because there were a few lines of Bennet's that made me laugh at him because they were cheesy. And be warned, there is a 3rd act breakup.

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Boss banging his intern straight out of the gate. All over the office. My HR bells and sexual harassment suits screamed loudly. The scenes were so over-the-top I nearly stopped reading. It gets better the further you read and eventually melds into the standard romance.

When I saw this was by Christina Lauren, I expected more of a romcom. This one was a little less plot driven than I expected but I enjoyed it anyway.

2022:
I feel like I re-read this book every year. Bennett and Chloe. They’re still in my top 3 favourite book couples of all time

This book got so spicy right from the get go and did not stop. A really fast-paced, hot read that I absolutely loved.
challenging funny medium-paced

Christina Lauren is an "always read" for me. They write the best stories and this was no exception. It's cliche, but this series really was beautiful to me, in every way.
