Chloe and Bennett seemed to go from 0 to 100. The love-hate relationship is somewhat confusing, super hot and cold.

If you are looking for a book that is really just smut with a dash of decent plot, this is the book for you. I made the mistake of starting this book right before my trip to Trader Joe’s, and proceeded to find myself listening to a vulgar sex scene while shopping for groceries.

Having just finished the minimal-spice “My Favorite, Half Night Stand,” I was pretty shocked by the explicit nature of “Beautiful Bastard.” Even “The Unhoneymooners,” which is also enemies to lovers, was pretty spice light. I read “Beautiful Player” a while ago, but don’t remember it being as spicy as “Beautiful Bastard.” Perhaps this is because “Beautiful Player” is friends to lovers, and “Beautiful Bastard” is enemies to lovers (and A LOT of hate sex).

The authors were clearly trying to convince us that Bennett and Chloe‘s relationship was more than just physical, but I honestly didn’t buy it. Both of these characters were intended to be intelligent, but honestly both just came off kinda dumb. We never really saw a moment of true emotional vulnerability from Bennett or Chloe where all of their walls came down. The third act breakup was also stupid and juvenile, on Chloe‘s part. The way she responded to his comments and their constant power struggle makes me think that this relationship is destined for turmoil. Neither of the main characters were particularly likable.

Really enjoyed this book.

I didn't really love this one. I think it was a good read for what it was. I just wasn't in the mood for such a sex-centric book. The whole first half is basically just the lead characters having sex. Thus, the ending was more enjoyable and compelling. I was glad when the book actually started having a plot. If I would've been in a mood for a smutty book, I would've liked this a lot better, so I probably should've put this one down once I realized it wasn't the right time to read it. It also could've been a lot shorter. I only like long novels when they're unpredictable and this was far from that label.

Good but not the best in the series. Chloe and bennett

Holy crap what the hell was that ???!!
I mean ... I ... They ... What ???!!
Well this book was a surprise .. I did not expect that level of hatred at the begging ... Or to like it , but I did and I quite enjoyed the book ... After some actual conversation and not just sex ... Yeah there's a lot of sex ... Hot, angry, raw sex BUT this book is also suitable for the romantic ... After the first 13 chapters or so !!!

Before I actually begin my review, has anyone else noticed that majority of the characters have the same names as those in Twilight? Please tell me that I'm not the only one.

Anyway, this book was one that I've been wanting to read for quite some time, and so when I finally got my hands on a copy, I was definitely excited to start it immediately.

It was great at first; very relatable and comical and this led me to think it WAS (since I can't italicize words on my phone) a fantastic read.

The animosity alone was what kept me going, I loved the whole idea of a Beautiful Bastard and I positively enjoyed how the author portrayed it too.

Though as you progress, you start to realize that several of the characters shared names with the ones in Twilight. How odd.

Then you notice the mass amount of sex being had (Could Bennett and Chloe not control their raging libido?) and think, "How could they have sex this many times and not come to terms with the chemistry they had?"

Perhaps it's just me, but no way could anyone be that attracted to each other, even to the point of doing it several times and STILL not have The Talk. I mean, come on.

easy read, but felt it was slow and veryyyyy repetitive. I felt certain conversations+scenes were used again and again. Also, I felt like the ‘strong, bold female’ character was trying cover the true tone of the book.
