2.5/5. i honestly don't know how to feel about this. i do not count it as potter canon. the plot did not make any sense at all like what the fuck was going on there ?! also why involve time turners?! it doesn't make any sense at all. ON THE OTHER HAND all the characters turned out how i wanted them to turn out. Hermione & Draco especially. I loved Scorpius. so so so so so much. he's a sweet lil bean who is such a fucking nerd and i love him. Albus was meh for me, same with Harry. Harry didn't FEEL like Harry and Albus was dumb and made so many dumb decisions. i dunno. also the entire time i felt like i was reading fanfiction. seriously i forgot it was an actual thing that had been published and i thought i was reading some shitty fanfiction. ALSO i hated the queerbaiting and god there was so much queerbaiting. Scorbus should have happened. 100%. if it was any other story it would have. im v annoyed about that.

still very unsure about it all. i dont know how im supposed to feel about it and i dont know how i do feel about it. im a lil confused.

I know there are a lot of mixed feelings about this book (aka the fanfiction written by JKR among others....) and I had my up's and down's reading it. I wanted to love it so bad and I am still a little unsure if I really do.

BUT although there were some things I cringed about
Spoiler the time turning system which is TOTALLY different then in the 3rd book; Hermione being a grumpy mean teacher just because she didn't end up with Ron in the alternate timeline; Scorpius and Albus not ending up together when SO many scenes implied they could have; Ron just being a weird comic relief side character; Cedric being a DEATH EATER just because he lost?!?!?! What the fuck he is a hufflepuff!!!; Missing the other Weasleys and Hagrid; making Snape all fluffy duffy and friendly with Hermione in the alternate universe; Harry being a horrible Dad...and somehow ends up being friendly with Draco?!? NO!.. and not to forget the Voldemort-has-a-daughter-part...please I hope there is a spell for that, because imagining him and Bellatrix actually MAKING a child.. aaah no!
it still was soooo good to be back in the world and IT'S A PLAY GUYS! It's supposed to be seen on stage and I am sure it will be all awesome! Of course there was no room for all and everything we might wanted to see from this new story but hey.... I still enjoyed my time and I loved
Spoiler Scorpius' wit and his friendship with Albus; the complication being Harry's son; the alternate DARK timeline with Voldemort Day... haha, the awesome kitchen-battle between Harry & Draco and so much more
Over all it probably just deserves 3 stars, but because JK Rowling did, what basically everyone BEGGED her for and brought us this nice little extra to the Harry Potter World I have to add one star.

I enjoyed myself and would recommend it, but not as a part of the series but more like a special extra for hardcore fans.

Although I normally do not really like Buzzfeed this is just exactly what I thought, while reading:

Okay, it took me 14 months to finish the book. Why? Because it made me really mad. I read half and stopped. And then, at the end of the next year, I decided to give it another chance.
Do I regret reading it? No. It wasn’t perfect, had plot holes and scenes I’ll never forget (unfortunately). But you know what? It wasn’t THAT bad. Mostly Thanks to Scorpius, who’s a star of this book. And Draco, who’s a good bo-... I mean, father.
Would I recommend? Yes, but not if you’re a huge fan with knowledge about every aspect of the lore. And not if you don’t like Ron (he’s even worse as an adult). Or if you don’t like the idea of Voldemort having a child.

Horrible. Untrue to the original material. Unnecessarily convoluted. Too long and yet it didn't have enough space to fit all of the material. Ruined Harry Potter time turners. I hope it's better live
