A very fun time! The shift was quick to bleak that it felt like a false safety for the beginning half that you forget this is extreme horror.

This book was written so nicely that i felt connected with the characters so when things turned nasty i got nervous for all of them.

This book was great! The writing was so good I was constantly reading parts to my partner because of how wonderfully visceral it was. I will never listen to a B-52 song again without thinking about this book.

Jack & Rich 15
Lewis Baylor -head honcho

Tanner is being forced to go to a church summer camp to get his yearly dose of Jesus. He sees a light at the end of the tunnel when he recognizes a few of his classmates. The boys all take a solo hike to The Honeymoon Lodge. There they discover a grisly sight, Mac tied up and bloody.

Jack & Rich catch the boys. They tie them up to deal with after they talk to their father. They had already used their allotted 1 camper/ summer rule. They kill Garrett to release the tension.

Jack & Rich have a history of kills. They love to play "Rock Lobster" by the B-52s during their kills.

Newborn baby Cormac. He was nailed to a tree and had his guts pulled out of him.

Their 16 y/o babysitter named Karen. Both her nipples had been chewed, eyes have been popped, and a broom handle was shoved into her vagina.

Lewis discovers Karen, he assists the boys in finding new victims but they must promise to be good. His favorite place is playgrounds.

Lures a 5 y/o kindergartner into the car.

Baylor tells the boys to make it look like their captives had drowned. First they cut the boy's bindings and slit Mac's throat. During their argument, Jack bludgeons Mac's body instead.

Baylor shoots Jack in the throat. He hits Rich twice in the chest and face, non-fatally.

Spitz slams Rich's head with the radio and stomps on him. Tanner shoves his fist into Rich's throat.

Baylor shots Tanner and Spitz. Formulates a story as he walks back to camp.
