A grotesque story of a litte giant, Petit, the son of Ogre King was hidden to his family by his mother to protect their clan from extinction and for her pure love to her son...or was it?

Hubert Boulard did an astounding job with the story of Petit. The vividness of the environment and the characters laid out extremely well. Their histories and backgrounds being told in a short story after a few chapter of the current story.

The story really pack a punch. Full of gory scenes and completely bonkers of a character, the illustrator [Bertrand Gatignol] really did an impressive job at laying out the idea of the plot.

Overall, this book was truly entertaining. It really shows the length of what a man can do to achieve their goals; even if it means they trample down another.

I can't say I enjoyed this but I was certainly intrigued?

I liked the style of the art, but this was way too grotesque for me. Probably would have minded it a little less if most of the violence hadn't been directed at women.

Insane, ridiculous, and amazing.

Absolutely cruised through all three of these, so I'll just write one review. This series is truly gothic, with an absolutely macabre depiction of a rapidly decaying class of ruling giants. The illustrations are SO impressive, and also... so gross. Ultimately, all of the incest, cannibalism, etc. in this world proved a bit too much for me to stomach, but I guess that didn't stop me from devouring (ha...ha...) all three volumes. I did really enjoy the way the authors deepened the story by interspersing histories about the world between the comic sections.
