This was actually surprisingly good! I had doubts in the beginning, but I actually enjoyed this one. It's super long, but there is some fun character development (I really enjoyed Killer Frost, although the original Suicide Squad characters are a bit lacking) and I enjoyed the art style and writing. One of the most successful DC works I've read recently.

Well this was fun to read! I had to keep telling myself I was not in the world of Injustice though cause I wanted to keep thinking of that storyline. But I enjoyed this, and damn would it make for a fun movie too.

I now have new characters I need to go look for!

Exactly what I would expect from a cross-over even with Jim Lee doing the art.
Great way to introduce new storylines in Rebirth. Will likely read again.

A very good crossover, with a great story that wasn't the usual "Bad guys vs good guys" cliche, having the SS joining the JL, even briefly, was something I didn't expect, and I loved the writing of Killer Frost and Lobo

Not only does Justice League vs. Suicide Squad use a cookie-cutter plot set-up, but it also lacks character, depth, and (quite surprisingly) the Justice League fighting the Suicide Squad.

The Suicide Squad is a team of super bad guys who are put under the control of the government to complete missions considered too dangerous to send out our own people to complete and completing these missions and living through them would give them time off of their prison sentences. However, Batman soon finds out that these criminals and brings the Justice League along with them to investigate the squad only to be caught in the midst of a revenge plan of a bigger baddy: Maxwell Lord and the original Suicide Squad.

It makes for a great movie, but I'm not sure that this will be something that you would want to read over and over again. It's just that the characters that were brought together created a kind of synergy that made all the action exciting to see.

I haven't read very many comics, but I do like the characters in this one so I gave it a try! I read this on my Kindle, on Hoopla with my library card. I liked the different artist sections. It broke up the story.

I love reading graphic novels on my Kindle as I can zoom in on each cell of the page or look at the entire page. Nice for my aging eyes :)

Once the real villain is acknowledged, the book slips into chaos, its action sequences losing coherence and feeling rushed. But this was a surprisingly solid example of a crossover event comic. With better art and more room to deal with Eclipso's corruption, this could have been really special, but as is, it's still pretty good.
