Cleverly layered, a bit intense. was interesting and well written. I appreciated the juxtaposition of the two main characters and the subtle way he hinted at their true natures early on through small, seemingly mundane actions. Where looking back you are like ah yes I see the theme. Personally, I could’ve used a few lighter breather moments added in, but that’s more about my taste. I don’t usually read darker stories. Overall I’m glad I read it

This was really refreshing to read for a vampire novel. The author really doesn't care if you understand the mother tongue, you have to just educate yourself. 
I really enjoyed the historical aspect of how native American tribes dealt with the colonisation of their land and how do you explain what a vampire is... 
I love the lore of whatever the vampire eats it becomes - stags=growing antlers.
