Enjoyable historical mystery that came available in Libby so i jumped on it rather than the more famous debut novel that is on my to list read The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle

Turton is certainly good, but the plot seemed very convoluted and required a lot of suspension of disbelief.

Everything about this book was fine, just fine. The writing style was just ok, the characters were nothing special and the plot was fine. I did really enjoy the setting and atmosphere, mostly because I have never read a book before that took place on a ship for 95% of the book. This book was enjoyable but definitely not a must read, especially if you are a murder mystery lover. There are much better murder mysteries books out there.
