There was so much work I loved in this collection and I'm so grateful it exists. I feel a lot of gratitude for Andrea Abi-Karam and Kay Gabriel for the work they did to put this together. Like nearly every anthology though some pieces were misses for me. Nothing that was included sullied the other work, it just didn't make it to five stars for me.

I love trans poetics and I love trans people. Great anthology, opening editors’ letter sets the tone really well, enjoyed having older texts from Lou Sullivan and Leslie Feinberg for example interwoven—really added to the intergenerational context of radical trans writings.

Really beautiful collection of poetry, definitely a far stretch from traditional and typical poetry with many of the authors taking a more abstract approach in their use of words and the page as a whole. Covers a wide variety of topics, as such some poems resonated with me far less than others, some I didn't even really enjoy. But that's the beauty of a poetry anthology, at most a piece is a couple pages long and if I really didn't like it I could skip it. On the other hand many poems captured some of my feelings and experiences as a trans person with such precision and ease that I feel in love with this collection very quickly. This duality wasn't surprising as the broad space and creative freedom required for such radical trans poetry means it cannot cater to all. I thoroughly recommend this book to any trans or queer people, with the caveat that not every poem is for everyone.
