Really beautiful collection of poetry, definitely a far stretch from traditional and typical poetry with many of the authors taking a more abstract approach in their use of words and the page as a whole. Covers a wide variety of topics, as such some poems resonated with me far less than others, some I didn't even really enjoy. But that's the beauty of a poetry anthology, at most a piece is a couple pages long and if I really didn't like it I could skip it. On the other hand many poems captured some of my feelings and experiences as a trans person with such precision and ease that I feel in love with this collection very quickly. This duality wasn't surprising as the broad space and creative freedom required for such radical trans poetry means it cannot cater to all. I thoroughly recommend this book to any trans or queer people, with the caveat that not every poem is for everyone.
