This is complicated. I'm exhausted by this book.

The premise was sooo good, but the execution really wasn't for me. It was insanely repetitive, I didn't care about any of the characters and the plot was so weirdly structured, that it felt like we had 100 plot lines and none at the same time, which was it's own personal kind of frustrating.

I probably should have DNFed, but my curiosity dragged me to the end. Spoiler: it wasn’t worth it.

Maybe if I delete it from my Kindle and re-download it, I’ll get the same premise in a version that actually delivers? A girl can dream.

Every time Lauren's husband (she didn't even have a husband this morning) goes up into the attic, a different husband comes back down. She learns of love and life and choices you make and ones you don't. I'm not sure what I think of the ending-- that seems to be the main question of every other review I've read: how did you feel about the ending? And maybe that's the point.
