I was so excited when she met Carter and was going to stick with it for awhile and had such hope- thought we’d learn about how to stop the attic or she’d have a big development that eventually led to it breaking / not working instead of what she did in the end. Lauren really started to tick me off, she really couldn’t find the good in anything but ultimately I did find the comparisons to online dating fascinating. I wish we could have spent more time with Sam after everything…to see her really fall into the development we’re supposed to believe happened with Lauren.

Ok the pros… super quick read, short chapters, hilarious writing, and not sappy at all. Just a funny/unique light read about a woman with hundreds of husbands spawning out of her attic.
On that note… why did there need to be so many husbands???? I wish there were more notable ones with better character/relationship building- maybe 5-6 memorable husbands rather than 2-3 semi-memorable ones and the rest are just names. The constant switching of characters and never fully getting into any of them made it hard to really invest in this book. But it was still entertaining I guess. I feel like this would make such a good rom com movie.

3.5 stars rounded down bc this was such a new and fun concept for me, which I think was executed great! Definitely stressed me out a bit tho— the MC makes some questionable choices when presented with a magic attic (of course, lol) and I didn’t really vibe with her bc of said choices. It just seemed to get more and more manic toward the end which is a fine way for the story to go, just not what I was expecting/hoping for I think
