Beautifully written and once someone pointed out to me that this book is reminiscent of a Ghibli movie, I could see it. It was beautiful and unsettling. Even the end papers having instructions to origami fold the dust jacket into a well designed boat that unites the characters was a gorgeous touch. I'm glad I read this one even if it's not a simple matter of like or dislike.

It's very imaginative and also calm with a sprinkle of philosophy. Solid read. The other world is beautiful... Very ghibli-esque. I would love to see this as an anime.
