I loved the novellas in this book!
The characters were by far some of the most interesting and compelling of Gong’s characters!
This book makes me want to go back and read These violent Delights so I can find out more about these characters!

content warnings: murder, violence

***this book, or any reviews of it, should not be read until after you’ve read the these violent delights duology and at least book one of the foul lady fortune duology!***

this consists of two novellas: a foul thing, in which roma and juliette investigate the several russian girls showing up dead, and this foul murder, in which ben and mars encounter a murder on their train to carry out a mission from roma.

honestly, when roma and juliette made their first post-our violent ends appearance, i was a bit disappointed. i’m a sucker for tragic, or even open, endings, and didn’t like that they were definitively back. however, after reading this, i’m a bit more forgiving of this decision because i really do love romajuliette.

overall, this was a fun novella i’d recommend to any fans of these characters.
