This is probably one of the best post apocalyptic books I have read. It’s well written and has complex and interesting character development with a dark storyline.

My only issue is that after 965 pages I grew attached to some of the characters and it made it hard to start another book when I’m wondering what’s next for them.

This book gets compared to The Stand a lot, but the only things they have in common are that they are both post apocalyptic and long. I put off reading this because I wrongly assumed that they’re the same book, but Swan Song is a completely different story that deserves to be as well known as The Stand.

Give this book a shot and you will not be disappointed!

I really liked this book. It took me a long time to finish it but I'm very happy that I stuck with it. And the narrator did a fantastic job.

A blockbuster epic tale with barely a low point to be found. An incredible cast of characters propel a mythic story about the constant battle between Hope and Fear. Told with all the expert genre tools at his disposal – horror, sci-fi, fantasy, action – this is the full package. A total triumph.

This is the first book from Robert McCammon that I read. This isn't generally my genre, but I found his writing style easy to follow. He paints a wonderful picture of imagery through his narration. I found myself often thinking about the characters in this book and what they were going through.
Swan song is a post apocalyptic story after a nuclear fallout. There is still evil, but there is good. Much good. This story follows a young girl and her ability to bring about the good in those around her.
