1 1/2 stars really. For a book with such a unique story, I really had to push through this. Unfortunately won't be reading volume 2.

I came to this book for the interesting idea of having sex, stopping time, robbing banks. But almost the entirety of Volume 1 is about thew various sexual experiences the two main characters had growing up. Which was not for me. Near the very end of Volume 1 we get a taste of what else there is, a couple new people are met and we're given a brief glimpse of where the series is intending to go. So I might just pick up Volume 2 to see, but I'm just as likely not to.

I found the characters interesting enough, but because i wasn't really interested in their entire awkward sexual history, I didn't gravitate towards them much.

One thing I did particularly like is the writing style that doesn't approach talking about sex in a hushed-tone giggling we're-talking-about-a-secret way. It's called Sex Criminals after all and there is lots of sex in the book. It's mostly approached in a straight forward way as the two main characters share with us and between themselves how they came to learn and experience sex.

This one wasn't for me, the next one might be, as long as there is more bank robbing.

This is a different kind of story. There are sexy times from the first page, it's honest about the content from the get go. ADULT CONTENT – beware the easily offended. It is also a very funny, witty, self depreciating kind of story and I like it.

This story has a lot of positive things going for it. The main character is a curvy librarian with sexy powers. (Do I need to say anything else really? Are you hooked yet?!) It treats sexuality as something to be enjoyed and explored. The characters are not perfect; they each have their own flaws; Suzie seems to have some stereotypical views of pornography and Jon occasionally shits in his boss’s potted plants. This rounds out the characters nicely and leaves you wondering about them as people. There is definitely more here to be explored in later volumes.

The artwork is absolutely beautiful. The many layers that have gone into the frames where time has frozen is magical. You just have to stop and appreciate it, just like a good orgasm!

There is a lot going on in this comic book. We are introduced to our main characters, their powers, their childhood experiences, and their master plan to save Suzie’s Library. We are also introduced to
Spoilerthree other characters who share this orgasmic time freezing power who pose as the Sex Police in order to stop our happy couple from completing their bank heist
.

This is a story with a lot going on, and you’re left wanting more. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next instalment.

Super weird concept. Not something I would ever have picked up but my neighbor loaned us the TPB after his book club read it and I thought I'd give it a go.

Ultimately it's an interesting story and pretty funny. Don't know if it's compelling enough to get me to read any more though.

Pretty funny and interesting concept--I just didn't find any of the characters particularly interesting? Very clearly written by a dude. I do think it has the potential to grow, though, so fingers crossed!

This book is a good time. It’s equally fantastical and funny. It’s also sexy in a honest and naughty kind of way.

This graphic novel had a very interesting premise and now that I've read it, here are my initial thoughts:

1. LOVED Suzie. She's a charming and nice girl, who loves books and works in a library.
2. Jon, on the other hand I didn't like. He was too extreme. He practically forced Suzie into this robbing a bank thing. I did not approve of that..
3. The robbing a bank aspect came way too short; I think it should have played a bigger part in the story and been more elaborated.
4. Nice drawings; snarky remarks. Liked those and I am excited to see how it will continue.

Got introduced to this series by a group of booklovers and I'm hooked!

The premise is sexy and hilarious, how could I resist! I mean, the whole idea of stopping time and robbing a bank is interesting enough, but the way they get time to stop is the cherry on top!

What I loved most about it though, are the backstories of how Suzie and Jon discovered their gifts. It really isn't just about stopping time, it's about discovering their bodies as adolescents growing up, and not having anyone to talk to about it. That is so relatable, even in our modern times now. We are slowly getting more open with talking about sex and other "taboo" topics, but we still have a ways to go. I love that this series is contributing to the discussion.
