I'm a bit mixed on Hazelwood books, but I really enjoyed this one. She had some interesting modifications on the vampire/werewolf tropes, bringing it into a more relatable position for the modern world. The tension building to get to the spice was well done and I would def ready another if this series came to be.

There were parts that I liked about the world building, though it could have used more depth and then there was the plot which I thought was rather predictable. It was first and foremost a romance but at times it tried to be a mystery and so it felt a bit choppy and displaced at times. It was fine.
