This book was a little bite different than what I’m used to seeing, but it was great nonetheless. It is on my list of books to buy and just like the rest I look forward to getting it. I thought it was a little old the way the hallucinations of Shakespeare’s characters kept showing up. I didn’t quite understand the role they played but it made for a very interesting story. I could feel her pain as she had students and teachers look at her once she came back with her injuries. I, myself, have felt the unwanted stare of others in school. I was happy that she met her real life Romeo and I was disappointed at the ending. I wish there was a sequ to this book so I could get answers to my questions.

Finished in a single sitting. I can’t begin to express how beautiful and twisty and intense this was. A lot of it hurt in a real way, in a way teen me recognised. As a Shakespeare person it was just the right amount of Shakespeare. Ugh. Will be rereading.

A tragedy Shakespeare would approve of and mental illness rolled into a wonderful package and very good book!

a book that could've used more of shakespeare's complex characters, and less of this trio of unlikable leads.

A vivid, imaginative portrayal of how chillingly easy it is for a teenage girl to be convinced of her worthlessness/uselessness/etc. by those around her, and the consequences that result. ★★★★☆.
