Due parole a caldo a lettura appena ultimata.
Questo secondo volume mi ha tenuta incollata alle pagine ancora più del primo!
Simon e Clary sono inguardabili… non c’è stata una scena in cui abbia fatto il tifo per loro…

City of Ashes certainly provided action but for me lacked connection. What do I mean? I felt like the story was a bit all over the place, a bit fragmented. Yes, there was a plot - a beginning, middle and end - but the plot felt forced. The action was good but it almost seemed that things worked out a bit too well. My real beef is not with the action but with the characters. There did not seem like there was enough connection between them.
I did not care much for Simon, this time. Clary was annoying. I wanted her to stop all her shrieking. If she is a shadowhunter, get on with it. Learn. It does not seem like the others wanted to teach her much. I suppose my biggest problem with her is the way she is around Simon. I did not like her responses to him, her over the top worry and guilt. Nor did I like the feeling that she was settling for him. He is her security blanket that she does not want to give up.
Jace annoyed me a bit as well. His anger and thrill seeking nature got on my nerves. When I stopped and thought...geesh, he is 17...then his outbursts put things into better perspective. I was impressed with how he handles himself during times of battle of physical and mind along with how he was open about his feelings (at times).
