This book is a crazy trip. Do not read it if you'd like an autobiography of Norm Macdonald. Do read if you would like to only gradually become somewhat aware of what made him such a daring comedian. Long meandering stories that seem to have sprung from some semblance of reality leave you guessing as they become surreal Kafkaesque nosedives into Norm's brain. This book is difficult. Not unlike Norm himself, it would appear.

Maybe the funniest book I have ever read.

This is a pretty entertaining book. Not much of it actually seems to be based on anything true, but it fits very well with MacDonald's persona on TV and is just very witty. Of course he does a great job narrating it.

??

There are a few good jokes in this book but mostly it is incomprehensible, self I indulgent nonsense. Boo. Boo.

Funniest man on the planet wrote a great novel. RIP Norm. Love ya buddy.

i love Norm he's a legend. but this book is definitely not as funny as his comedy. that's okay tho obviously a completely different format and the best part is how hard he subverts it.

Definitely not what I was expecting, but enjoyed it still. If you like Norm’s humour, then this book is an ode to it. In a mix of true stories from his career and a crazy plot out of a comedy script, Norm makes you question what is serious and what is a long joke with some hints of truth - as he does.
Would have liked to know a bit more about the memoir part but you can always value the comedic writing and wit that Norm is capable of.
A quick, unusual and entertaining read. The audiobook is great, narrated by Norm himself.

really weird.
