I couldn't get through this book, a few intro pages in and I was already irked. I read the ending and called it a day.

I thought the book was exciting and fast-paced but the plot seemed to go too far down the rabbit hole. In the end, nothing and everything seemed believable and significant. All the same, I'm open to seeing what other books the author has.

This book was nothing like I expected it to be. I wish I had read more about it before starting it because I may have decided to pass on it. I did not expect the author to go the direction she did with the ending which was a nice surprise and made it a bit different from every other book ever written about cheating and betrayal.

In actuality, I minded the ending the least.

What I did mind was the themes in this book. I have come to realize that I don’t like to read a book about cheating or women who intentionally hurt each other; whether in the chase for a man, jealously, or revenge. I don’t need a happy, sappy, romance all the time but I do want a book that doesn’t fall back on the age old “women are crazy” theme. I want a thriller that does something different, something I haven’t read in every other thriller and this was not it.

The book was okay but at the same time I would have been just fine if I hadn’t read it.
