Xander “Doc” Brown is the epitome of speaking things into existence. Once he laid eyes on Zara, he didn’t half-step, play games, or beat around the bush—he told her straight up what it was. Honestly, he had me saying “I love you” back to his crazy tail self.

Zara really tried to fight her feelings for him, and I can understand her being apprehensive about men, period. But baby, there were signs! Xander and Pyro were never created equally, and Pyro found out quickly.

I will say, I wanted to delve deeper into Doc’s life with Black Market. But this story? It was unhinged, delusional, and sticky 🤪!

Xander was a self-proclaimed “Doc,” before he became a real one. Operating the streets, and being a top surgeon, makes him unavailable to most. However, his heart skips a beat when he meets Zara and professes his love for her, after a shot period of time. Zara finds Doc to be intriguing, yet also psychotic. Will she let him invade her world or will she get rid of him? This book was unrealistically fast-paced and extremely toxic… However, that is what I loved about it.
