The King of villains strikes again. Excited to see what Ret. Det. Hodges, Jerome, and Holly are up to in the next installment and Holly's solo novel. Will Patton's narration is :chef's kiss:

**Spoilers below**

There's something slightly self-indulgent in writing about characters obsessed with a writer.
Everything about the rec center feels too lucky: That Morris finds the rec center as a haven as well, that Pete's mom still being conscious enough to notice where Pete went including that he took a key from the wall, that it was the only key missing and the key hook was labeled. Just all aligned a little too neatly.

Ummm…all I can say is wow! And I am immediately diving into the third book.

I can’t believe it has taking me this long to start reading Stephen King. After I am done with this trilogy, I am starting at the beginning.

Another completely gripping book. There's an unusual timeline to this, the set up is half of the book and the characters from the last book only show up at the end, but it does make for interesting reading. Like the last book you know 'whodunnit' right from the start, and can pretty much see what's going to happen, but finding out how it all plays out is the fun part.
The character of Morris is also brilliantly done, he is of course an awful person, but you still feel for him at times (waiting 36 years to be able to finish your favourite book series...ouch).
The ending also leads up really nicely to the third book, which I have of course went straight into.
