Boone and Jaxi are definitely my favorite meet cute in this series! How often does breaking and entering lead to a happily ever after!?!

With her baggage trying to bounce her out of her own story, Jaxi learns to love and trust with reckless abandon. Their stories start differently but their ending is in sync.

Andriana Locke never lets me down. I am a fan because her stories always entertain, entrance, and whisk you away. Whether your on vacation, off to a new life, or learning what you had all along- Locke has the story you need. The Mason family has the family you want. This audiobook has it all!

Took me forever to get into this. Liked Boone but he was wasted on this heroine. She was just some poor girl in need that he helped out. Not sure where the spark was... just an under developed story from this author. It got better at the end but really I feel like Boone will regret getting this deep into it with her and they will end up divorced in a couple of years, you know, if this were real life.

Adriana Locke never ceases to amaze me, but there was something extra special about Reckless, these characters have embedded themselves deep inside my heart.

Jaxi is sassy, quick witted, and as much as she might try to guard her heart there’s nobody in the world that wouldn’t swoon over Boone. Boone is charming, sweet, and oh, so swoony.

Jaxi and Boone’s meet cute is more of a, “breaking and entering, meet” but I couldn’t imagine anything more perfect for them. In their very first exchange they immediately begin to banter with one another that makes it feel as if they’ve known one another forever.

Their chemistry is intoxicating, a slow-burn that starts the moment they meet, and burns hotter on every page. I felt like I was right there with them as they fell head over heels in love with one another. They went from strangers to this partnership seamlessly, I really felt as if they were always meant for one another.

It only took a few pages, reality vanished, and I was engulfed by The Mason Family world. Every book in this series makes me feel as though I’m visiting family, but Jaxi and Boone’s story grabbed my heart, and are now entangled in the deepest parts of me.

Reckless is a rapt blend of an intoxicating slow-burn, a sassy Jaxi, a swoony Boone, flawless witty banter, heaps of feels, from heartwarming to heartbreaking, brothers that push each other's buttons continuously, but love one another unconditionally, a mom that balances meddling in her adult son’s life, and still having the ability to scare them, she’s the mom I aspire to be.

Reckless is the third book in the Mason Family series but I read it as a stand-alone and do not feel like I missed anything. This was a new-to-me author and I am so glad I got the chance to read this book. It started out funny and some sweet and touching scenes that really made the book. It was fast-paced and one of those books that are hard to put down. The characters were genuine and easy to relate with. Jaxi’s younger sister Rosie was adorable, and I loved how Boone’s family opened their arms to welcome her and Jaxi.
Nothing had ever gone Jaxis way. She had just sold all her stuff and had taken a job in sunny Hawaii as a nanny. She was supposed to spend a week with her cousin Libby, but last-minute Libby went with her husband on a work trip. Being discovered by Libby’s swoon-worthy neighbor when she makes the mistake of climbing into the wrong house was just another day for Jaxi. Then she finds out her sister whom she had not seen in years is dead and left her daughter Rosie to Jaxi. Jaxi must ditch her plans for Hawaii and quickly come up with a plan so she can keep Rosie.
Boone Mason was the youngest Mason sibling and known as the charming, fun, but an unreliable brother. He has a big heart and falls for Jaxi right away. He does not know why he jumped at the chance to help Jaxi, but he knows he wants her in his life. She makes him want to be a better person and be a reliable one. But can he convince her to have faith and believe he will not let her down like everyone else in her life has?
I really enjoyed reading this book and am so glad I discovered Adriana Locke. The Mason family was wonderful, and I loved getting to know them. I look forward to reading the first two books in the series and future books for the Mason family.
I received an ARC and am willingly leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Things are certainly not what they seem when Boone Mason comes home to find a beautiful intruder in his kitchen. Pass it off as fate that Jaxi Thorne breaks into the wrong house while house sitting for a family member that forgot to leave her the keys. But one woman's failure turns into one man's gain when the two embark on a friendship that becomes so much more. Will the playboy finally find true love? Or will Jaxi's bad luck continue...... Once again Adriana Locke creates a storyline that her readers cannot help but fall in love with. The characters are perfectly written, the story will hook you in from the opening pages and the level of emotion and laughter are interwoven in a epic way. Each book in the series gets better and better and just proves that Adriana Locke never disappoints!!

Another great one in this series! There were times that I laughed out loud and a few times that I shed a couple of tears. I loved Boone and Jaxi together, even if I did want to shake them a few times. Boone is great, and such a genuinely good man. Jaxi had lots of her own issues, but she was tough and I had no doubt she would eventually have figured things out for herself. To see Boone realize that he is more than just jokes, or someone who no one expects anything from, was wonderful. He was great with Rosie, and I love that he quickly thought of Jaxi and Rosie as "his girls". It took Jaxi a long time before she realized that Boone wasn't going anywhere, but it was super sweet when it finally hits her. The Mason family is just all around one of my favorites, and I can't wait to find out what happens with Oliver!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

this was not only boone's story, it was the personification of his character as a book - there's no other way to describe it. i don't know if it was intentional or not, but just like him the book started so lightheartedly that you didn't really know what to expect, even with the premise of "more" underlying. and then the story deepened juxtaposed with boone introspection.
my favorite part of it though was the stronger element of a found family, in a series centered on a family with established dynamics that ramify different brotherly bonds in each book. boone wasn't my favorite prior to reading the - i've always related to wade -, but in his own words he moved up on the "favorite brother leaderboard"

Boone Mason was the best thing I have read in a while. He is the youngest of the Mason clan, but he is the sweetest, kindest, hilarious, gentleman ever. He likes to joke especially with his brothers and though he may come across as carefree and laid back he deeply cares about others. Jaxi is struggling with the decisions that have led her to where she is in life even if most of the events that have happened has been out of her control, she still carries the guilt. When she gets an opportunity to start fresh, she grabs a hold of it and is determined to make the best of it. Taking some much-needed time away until she starts her new adventure, she stays at her cousin’s house, but an innocent mistake has her coming face to face with the handsome Boone. These two have an instant chemistry and an amazing banter that comes naturally but so many things happen, and Boone can’t help but want to be the one Jaxi turns to. When it rains it pours and Jaxi is experiencing that firsthand, can she let her pride go for a second and allow others to help her or will she be too stubborn to realize it’s ok to let others in? Can Boone convince her that her past doesn’t define her, but he loves everything she is and comes with? Will these two find their peace with each other and help each other navigate these new waters or is pride too much of a thing to let others in? A cute and fun read that had me loving the family dynamics of the Mason clan while also falling head over heels in love with Boone. At times I wanted to shake Jaxi because she was too stubborn, but after all she’s endured, I could understand why she would feel the way she does.

Reckless is a sweet romance, that started with an accidental break-in that turned in to a HEA. Jaxi has not had the greatest life and it leads her to not be so trusting. Boone is sweet and an all around great guy. I loved that Boone was willing to help Jaxi without even thinking in a moment she needed most and was willing to prove to her that he was not like everyone else in her life.

Stella Hunter and Wen Ross gave a great performance in this story. Wen was good at portraying Boone’s sweet and swoony personality. Stella was fantastic at bringing out they emotions and insecurities Jaxi has from her troubled past. I enjoyed both of their performances.
