I remember reading this around my Freshman year of high school and thinking it, and the three sequels I had, were terrific.
How we change as we grow up. As years went by and I had to let go of old books to make room for new ones, these stuck around. Looking at them now...I don't really know why. Just reading the back covers of these is ridiculous. Giant nuclear spiders with awesome mind powers. OK.
