I find the 'classic' original X-Men team dull (the whole era is boring) so bringing them into the future is not something that really interest me. I get what Bendis is doing, but I hate it when he writes the X-Men and the whole lineup is messier than ever. I can't wait for things to calm down a bit.

This is a really strong start to a really great series. I'm a big X-Men fan, and I was immediately hooked the first time I picked up this book. I'm looking forward to finishing the whole series.

This was busy and a little overstuffed, but overall I really enjoyed. I've always liked the classic team and this particular time travel plot is refreshing and original.
I discuss this series in more detail in this episode of the All the Books Show Podcast https://soundcloud.com/allthebooks/episode-198-x-men

I liked this pretty well. I can't quite wrap my head around Beast deciding to do something like this, but once it's done it's a pretty entertaining look at characters. This first one is not my favorite in the run, but it's a decent start.
We'll probably end up taking a look at this run before too long on Previously on X-Men (https://radiomeanwhile.com/previously-on-x-men/).

My super-hero SRP binge continues! I admit to being more of an Avengers girl myself, but this is a great premise. It's VERY relevant to the Unmask! teen program as well.
If teenage you could fast forward to bitter adult you, what would the teenager say? What would they think? How many times would they swear "I would NEVER let this happen to me"? It's extra-horrifying to be Jean Grey looking down the barrel of that gun.
I'll definitely finish this arc.

Very cool to be reunited with the old X-men and strangely enough, I like Cyclops more now that he's more like Magneto. I'm not sure I buy all hatred about killing Xavier when it really doesn't seem like it was his fault, but other than that I'm excited about this new series.

It took me a while to get into this. I usually enjoy most X-men comics and Jean Grey has always been my favorite. So when I heard about an X-men story where the old X-men are brought to the present due to time travel, I knew I had to read it. But I was underwhelmed.
The art is good though. Very colorful and showy, but not in a bad way. I had a few quips with Emma Frost and Storm's outfits...but I usually do when an artist draws a superhero sexily for no other purpose other than to enchant male readers. Otherwise I really enjoyed the art.
What was underwhelming about this volume was the writing. Although the premise of the story is interesting, the characters don't really have their own voices/personalities. Instead, they all sound like mutant mush. The author seems to focus on plot, which is all well and good, but I would've liked to see more of the characters shine through.

Awesome series, read these in a digital format and am up to date with this now. THE BEST MARVEL NOW series on the market, seriously. You'll want to get on board with this book if you're a fan of the X-Men.
