I don't think I understand to the extent that I want to. As the end of the series, it wrapped up in such a way that answered many questions yet left me wanting. I feel as though there were some incredibly complex messages hidden within this book and series as a whole and without discussion, I don't think I'll find out exactly what I think I should.

Perhaps its one of the best graphic novel series ever written. I enjoyed it to the last page.

A stunning end to a wonderful, tragic but beautiful tale.

A very stark criticism of humanities effect on the environment and the planet in general as well as cutting inspection of society - how we seem doomed to repeat them same tragic mistakes over and over.

This book was a bitter pill to swallow - not only the last of the series but also the most brutal; a number of favourite friends were lost and the conclusion, while brave, did not select a certain success but rather a gamble that things will turn out as they must, even if that includes the extinction of the human race.

This series is a must read for anyone and everyone regardless of your interests.

Holy shit!  What an amazing conclusion to this manga.  Very disappointed in Teto and Yupa dying.  I cried.  And who would think I could feel bad for the fire warrior?  Absolutely amazing.

What’s not to love about a series of books whose eponymous character has a rodent(like) familiar and an affinity for enormous insects?   The peaceful ecological theme and veiled criticism of atomic weaponry were equally appropriate.  I quite enjoyed this series!

Teto……..

Gorgeous world-building. If you love his films you will love this book.
