Borrowed from Par.core after asking him for it from September, cuz he said he preordered it. TOOK HIM FOREVER TO READ, ID BEEN ASKING SINCE BEFORE WINTER BREAK. it was worth it tho, and hideooo is amazing even if having ability to control everyone may be a bad thing...

I found Wildcard to be a satisfactory conclusion to the wild ride that is Warcross! There were some twists that I kind of suspected but still felt like I did not see coming. The stakes were higher in this one but I also missed the actual Warcross game a bit. Overall this was such a fun duology than I'm so glad I read! And that end

This one completes and makes sense of the first book. It is really just one story in two books.
I heard that lots of people were disappointed with this book, but when I finished warcross I just really wanted to know how it would continue. But damn I did not like this book at all.
My biggest dislike was the plot. I missed the warcross games and the action that those brought on. I didn't like all the stuff with the algorithm and everything that had to do with that (which was basically the entire book). I also found myself being bored and rolling my eyes a lot.
I don't have very good criticism, because I forgot so much stuff, even when I just heard it. It didn't land with me at all and I didn't care enough to try and rewind the audiobook a bit. But I don't think that is a good sign...
I do think I can say that Marie Lu just isn't an author I like. After also not liking her Legend series that much, I think I just don't click with her stories and especially her characters that much.
