Only once in a blue moon does a book cross my path that leaves me speechless yet overwhlemed in emotion. It made me think, it made me see things I wasnt seeing before. That may sound vague but Im not really done processing this book and its implications. What I can say is that this book should be a must read for everyone.

A really moving story that did a great job of showing both micro and macro aggressions towards the black community/other minorities. There were a few minor parts of the book where the writing felt a little amateur or cliched, almost like I was reading something on wattpad. But all of the major moments were well done and made me want to keep reading despite that.

A must read for all young people. So well written and engaging. Very pertinent to our times.

Took some getting used to the writing style. The story is intense and upsetting but also funny and real.
