This is the 4th book in the series, and while the relationship arc stands on its own - there’s events & characters from previous books that make these best listened to in order.

I liked Matt & Tate as a couple. My biggest complaint was that I wanted more of them. Time with them as a couple was very limited and a lot of it was Tate talking Matt down after weird petty actions by town folk. There was a lot of his family, her family, and too many squabbles between the MCs. There’s sex, but I wanted more romance.

The stories are fairly simple and easy to listen to and binge. While I didn’t like that the epilogue skimped on Matt & Tate - Edward’s speech and some final announcements were a great way to end the series.

There’s also a spin-off series “Petal, Georgia” featuring some of Tate’s siblings that I might check out.

Narration:
Aletha George does a great job again. She’s given all the characters unique voices & personalities that stay consistent through the series. This one has some pretty emotional parts too

Note about the cover: I know this is an older book & authors don’t always have any control… but sheesh, could they have picked a thinner woman to be on the cover of a book with a fat MC?

I am a late comer to the Chase family. I didn't realize that this was book four. But numbers don't matter and this book proves it with the rapidly multiplying family!

Matt Chase is the odd man out. All of his brothers have found "the One". He's left hoping for the same until a certain curvy girl catches his eye and his stomach! You know what they say "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach." Good thing she's one Hell of a cook.

This sweet story is about love in a small town filled with small minded people. Embracing love and saying damn the world.

a lot of characters I got confused can't be read as a standalone. Suddenly he's in love no real build up of their relationship and all that talk about her being fat is just super weird they try to play cool but they all sound like idiots

aaah that was sooo cute. the last book was my favourite.

I love their not-date-lunch-kind-of-date! she had no clue! huhuhu

she is apparently going on the plus size kind of figure but I like it better than those toothpick heroine. and he so don't care about it.

loved her strength. to go on even when the town hates you for it (small town like petal never like it when someone doesn't stick to his place).

the Chase mama is a gem!

This last one gets 5 stars because it was the perfect ending to see more of the whole family. Great series!

Still not as great as one and two but I love the family and the boys got great women.
