The book was written fine. I just really didn't like the romance because it was very toxic.

I received a copy of this ebook in a Goodreads giveaway. The amount of slurs, bigoted beliefs and unlikeable characters just wasn’t doing it for me.

I don’t cry easily when it comes to books but this one got me very close! I loved how real and raw the story and its characters are and how it made me ache deeply for them. Next to this, I think that it is such an important story which discusses so many important topics, but do read the trigger warnings beforehand because this is certainly not a light story. Through the beautiful writing, you will be taken on a heartbreaking journey that will not easily be forgotten. Oh! And the story includes a murder mystery that will leave you guessing until the end! (I guessed it right

I think this one’s just not for me. Can’t quite put my finger on it but I keep trying to pick it up and get a little bit into it and have to put it back down.

This book was just okay. The dialogue was unrealistic and the prose wasn't excellent, but the storyline had enough to keep me reading. Even so, I wasn't surprised by any of the plot points.
