Overall a decent story, but Auburn is a terrible judge of character. I understand the position she’s in and feeling like she has to do things the way she did them. I understand having the feelings she has for Owen. I understand that she’s only 20 / 21 years old and still figuring out things about herself and about life. But both Owen and Trey are walking red flags. Trey is the more obvious one, but even Owen at one point says things to her like, “No one deserves you like I do, no one will ever love you like I do” and tells her to validate his words by telling him he deserves her. As he’s about to fuck her.

I found the link between Owen and Auburn to be odd and not very believable. The idea that they would meet up and he’d remember her and be so obsessed with this “fated meeting” is a little over the top for me. And then Auburn not shutting down Trey from the beginning just doesn’t make sense to me. Trey’s mom not being understanding of the situation and the fact that what Trey wants is messed up makes no sense either. Not only does Lydia think it’s perfectly fine for Auburn to get together with the brother of her dead boyfriend, the love of her life up to that point, which is at least in my opinion the same thing as incest — but she is a MASSIVE BITCH to Auburn. She treats that little boy like he’s not even Auburn’s son and uses shit against her, makes excuses to keep her from seeing him consistently but then blames her for the inconsistency? What a fucking narcissistic cunt. (Okay that bit about Lydia is at least believable, but I’m still mad about her wanting Auburn and Trey to do an incest.)

But yeah, 3/5 stars. Story was alright, a little too many unbelievable things going on, female protag is a terrible judge of character and doesn’t seem all that good at thinking for herself.

Not the worst CoHo, but given the buildup to
Spoilerhow bad Owen's past was built up to be, but it was just using drugs
, it was underwhelming. Also, Owen kisses her unconsentually, which I don't like.

The entire thing almost feels like a beta version of Reminders of Him. It's not the worst, but with CoHo it's still a race to the bottom.

Get ready for a book you can’t set down the little bit of suspense and curiosity was there with this book but the romance was so great! I absolutely loved everything about this book and even kept coming home telling my husband all about the book!

Probably my least favorite Colleen Hoover book that I've read so far but that doesn't mean I didn't like it! I didn't like the narrator they hired for Owen; his voice was like, scary deep. I dunno, I just didn't feel like it fit with the cute painter Auburn describes him as. I liked this. It was a good timewaster.
