Enjoyed it a lot as a kid!
Cute/funny morals

The mini stories in this book were sweet and reminded me of journal reminisces from an older family member. But, I was surprised by the religiousness of this book. It was unexpected and a little bit preachy. I think I would have liked the book more without that aspect included and I believe I would have given this book at least a 3/5 if those aspects had been absent.

Grandma Attics is the collection of the stories being passed down from the grandmother. All these stories are funny and lighthearted as well as very inspirational for the younger generation!

This was a cute listen with Tally on Scribd

Sweet, old-fashioned short stories with a good moral message and pleasant feel. I kept this by the chair where I rock Mabel every day, and it was the perfect little book to pick up and read a few minutes at a time.

While reading these stories, I was reminded of Little House on the Prairie series.  Both offer readers a glimpse at life in a time gone by with the adventures being relayed by one of the prime characters.  What I particularly enjoyed was that each story/chapter was pretty much self-contained.  That meant you or your child could easily read a chapter and set the book aside without concern about forgetting something from the prior chapter.

Another benefit from these books is that you can see the love between the generations as the author’s grandmother freely shares from her life as a child.  As we did not live close to either set of grandparents when I was a child, I really savored those times when I could visit with them and hear stories from their past.  What I wish, now, is that those had all been recorded for future generations like these particular stories were.  What a blessing to have!
