Lovely stories, but somewhat disappointed. Not disappointed about the book overall. The book was great. Went into this one blind and I guess I was looking for a bit more than what was given to me.

I really did enjoy the different stories and little lessons you learned on the way. Other than that, I pushed through with this one.

Sweet childhood stories of days gone by. I forgot this was Christian! Neither too cloying nor too preachy. Fun and familial.

Grandma’s Attic series is a fun, enjoyable series that you will treasure. The first book in this series is In Grandma’s Attic. I read this book and More Stories from Grandma’s Attic. I liked hearing about how when Mabel was a little girl, just as much as Arleta did. What I loved the most about these books is that the stories did have lessons with them. All the mischief that Mabel got into was entertaining to read. Besides Mabel, it was fun to get to know the rest of the family…Pa, Ma, and her two brothers, Rueben and Roy. There were so many amusing stories that I can not pick just one as my favorite. These books would make the perfect gift to share with your mom, sibling or grand children.

Very good morals and Christian values! I love the stories her grandma tells her when she remembers something that reminded her of her childhood!

This was such a sweet and funny book! A young girl finds random items in her grandma's attic that bring up memories and always lead to a story. Many of them are humorous and most of them teach valuable character lessons without being super preachy.

There’s just something about returning to the books of your childhood. This series was a staple of mine growing up & it continues to bring so much joy and laughter!

Delightful and sweet.

A good read for children with good Biblical morals. My 7 and 4 year old enjoyed my reading this aloud to them.

I enjoyed these short stories about "grandma's day" (more like great great great grandma's day for me). They have a very Little House on the Prairie feel and many of them pointed to times when faith in God was grown. One story in particular, The Button Basket, was especially fun to read. My mother owns a basket just like the one described here that was given to/bought by my great great grandmother in Eastern Oregon around the year 1900 or so. An Indian was selling them by the road. Reading the book brought to mind a couple stories my great grandmother told me and I plan to write them down in my journal before I forget.

I only have one real complaint with the book and that's the fact that it didn't seem to be a big deal for the adults in the story to shame the children for childish mistakes. Apparently, that was supposed to be humorous but I didn't find it funny.
