This is an easy read, probably middle-grade. I liked the series of vignettes from the Grandmother's life. It reminds me of when I ask my Grandmother questions, though she isn't as easy to get telling a story, and she doesn't have as many old things from the past lying around. I think the telling of family stories, not only gives an insight into our ancestors, but also allows us to look at ourselves and the world closer. This grandmother by sharing her stories, is also giving her granddaughter the chance to be a better person and not succumb to the same follies of youth.
